Humana MTM Network
A couple of the Prescription Drug Plans (PDPs) are moving forward with their plans for providing Medication Therapy Management (MTM) Services for Medicare Part D.
The two PDPs offering MTM services through local pharmacies that MPA is aware of are Human Corp. and the Community Care RX.
Last week representatives from Humana visited MPA and discussed their interest in working with Montana Pharmacies to offer MTM services. They stressed to MPA that a pharmacy does not have to be enrolled in Humana’s PDP in order to participate in Humana’s MTM network.

There are 217 community pharmacies in Montana. The Association would like to see each and every one of them providing MTM services--and receiving reimbursement--during 2007.
If you are aware of other companies whose MTM services involve using real pharmacists in real time to talk to senior citizens about their medication therapy, please let the Association know and we’ll spread the word to your colleagues.
