Assistant or Associate Professor
Department of Pharmacy Practice

Emphasis in Internal Medicine

The University of Montana invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor in Pharmacy Practice beginning July 2017. The position requires primary responsibility for teaching internal medicine and some infectious disease therapeutics and pharmacy practice skills in internal medicine pharmacotherapy as well as serving as the preceptor for Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE) students. The successful candidate is expected to develop a research program and provide service commensurate with a tenure-track position.

UM is located in picturesque Missoula, Montana, a vibrant community of approximately 80,000 persons. It is the second largest city in Montana and is a hub for art, culture, and healthcare in Western Montana. The 56-acre main campus is located at the base of Mount Sentinel and near the Clark Fork River. Outdoor opportunities abound in the nearby area. Approximately 12,000 students attend UM and the associated Missoula College.

The Department of Pharmacy Practice is comprised of 10 tenure track faculty with numerous adjunct faculty and clinical instructors located throughout the state of Montana. Students complete required APPEs in the state and can choose to complete elective APPEs either in state or out of state. Class size is approximately 65 students.
