Brent Ruby, PhD, serves as the Director of the Montana Center for Work Physiology and Exercise Metabolism and has been working with wildland firefighters for the last 20 years to learn more about the environmental and nutritional concerns that can compromise work output and safety on the fire line.  However, we have also collected unique data at Ironman, Badwater and at the Western States ultra marathons.  The goal will be to discuss these results relative to the potential need for medical care in these unique tactical and ultra-athletes.  Presented live in the Gallagher Room at Community Medical Center, Missoula.  Stream live or view at UM Skaggs School of Pharmacy, Room 174, Missoula or St. Patrick Hospital Conference Room, Missoula.
