New Drugs New Laws 2017 is the perfect way to stay current and tune up your medication and legal knowledge. This meeting focuses on the new medications approved over the last year, and provides a comprehensive review of new and old laws and regulations that impact pharmacy practice. These activities are designed for all pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and student pharmacists in any practice setting and provide 8 CPE hours, including 6 hours of law CE.

Dr. Terri Levien will start the day with an analysis of the New Drugs and REMS in 2017. The rest of the morning will include staff from the Pharmacy Quality Insurance Commission presenting on new laws and regulations for 2017. The afternoon session will start with Dr. Rachael Ream discussing laws and regulations for pharmacists as medical providers, and the afternoon sessions will conclude with pharmacy law professor emeritus Dr. William Fassett and professor Dr. Tom Hazlet leading a discussion style review of current legal issues impacting the practice of pharmacy.
