The Medical Billing Workshop for Pharmacy Professionals prepares pharmacy professionals to submit medical claims for patient care services and understand compliance requirements. Medical billing is significantly different from current real-time submissions of pharmacy claims.

Pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and student pharmacists will learn medical billing processes, proper documentation, coding, and compliance. In total, 7 CPE hours is available.

Teresa Davis will start the morning session focusing on credentialing and contracting. Stacey Olson will spend the remaining morning sessions with an introduction to medical billing and time-based billing method.

In the afternoon, Stacey Olson will complete her medical billing presentations focusing on complexity-based billing method. Dr. Rachael Ream will end the day by focusing on reducing audit risks and ensuring proper compliance.
