New Drugs New Laws 2017 is the perfect way to stay current and tune up y
our medication and legal knowledge. This meeting focuses on the new medicat
ions approved over the last year, and provides a comprehensive review of ne
w and old laws and regulations that impact pharmacy practice. These activit
ies are designed for all pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and student pha
rmacists in any practice setting and provide 8 CPE hours, including 6 hours
of law CE.
Dr. Terri Levien will start the day with an analysis
of the New Drugs and REMS in 2017. The rest of the morning will include st
aff from the Pharmacy Quality Insurance Commission presenting on new laws a
nd regulations for 2017. The afternoon session will start with Dr. Rachael
Ream discussing laws and regulations for pharmacists as medical providers,
and the afternoon sessions will conclude with pharmacy law professor emerit
us Dr. William Fassett and professor Dr. Tom Hazlet leading a discussion st
yle review of current legal issues impacting the practice of pharmacy.
